Are You on the CoPilot train or getting left behind?
Sara Furlong, Channel Account Manager
CoPilot is so much more than just another license you can sell your clients, it’s a business consulting engagement, it affects workflow and business practices. We need to approach it as a people and process first, not technology.
Through this presentation we will take you through the components of the journey you need to go on with your clients for them to be CoPilot ready.
The Triangle of Protection – Understanding the Proactive and Reactive Elements for Protecting your Customers
Frank Raimondi, VP of Channel & Alliances & Partnerships
Whether you’re just building up your cyber security stack or looking to improve, there is big value in understanding the different components that provide a total solution: first a Proactive focus, then a Testing element, rounded out with a set of Reactive tools.
We’ll discuss the types of tools and resources for each, with a particular focus on the proactive tools that really should be the starting point of a cyber conversation.
Whether you’re having an Essential 8 or SMB1001 discussion, or just talking about a general set of managed security elements, understanding and delivering the three points of the triangle will enable you to SELL and SECURE more.
Details of any door prizes: Nodeware will be picking up member's beverages for the evening, and also raffling away a A$50 gift card

My M&A story – experience from the trenches of a successful business sale
Dean Calvert - CEO and founder, Calvert Technologies
August 1, 2024 marked a significant date in the life of Calvert Technologies when it was officially acquired by Blackbird IT, after Dean had founded and run the company for 29 years.
There’s a lot of talk about M&A activity, but often much of it remains a mystery. Why do you sell, how do you sell, how do you find someone to buy, what are the “gotchas” you need to be aware of?
Dean will share his journey from sole owner to employee within a much larger MSP, and key learnings from the process.
This won’t be a death by PowerPoint session, and attendees will be able to ask questions.
Naturally some confidential details can’t be shared, but Dean will be the open book he has been since starting the Adelaide SBS Users Group (pre-cursor to SMBiT Professionals) in July 2003.
