The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer board that plugs into a TV and a keyboard. It’s a miniature ARM-based PC which can be used for many of the things that a desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays High-Definition video.
7:40 - 8:30 pm = Presentation 2 – VMvault (Radek Tkaczyk, Senior Systems Consultant)
VMvault is an Australian cloud hosting provider, specialising in VMware hosted solutions. The presentation will focus on VMvault’s product offering and partner program for their cloud based solutions. During the presentation, Radek will demonstrate live solutions from existing partners to demonstrate how to build a private cloud solution. Also demonstrated will be VMvault’s ShadowProtect Offsite DR product, which allows a customer to replicate their ShadowProtect images to the cloud, for full failover to the cloud in the event of a catastrophic failure at the customer site. The session will be primarily technically focused, with real live, working solutions presented.
