MSPs Targeted and Exposed - Data Resolution Corporation: A Case Study

Managed Services Providers (MSPs), Cloud Services Providers (CSPs) and Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs) are being targeted for access to their networks, and ultimately those of their clients. Attacks are becoming more frequent and in December, the Australian Cyber Security Centre released security guidance for MSPs and their customers in response to the attacks by APT10 on MSPs. On Christmas Eve 2018, California based, Data Resolution Corporation suffered a significant and highly publicised attack.

This meeting will focus on:

• The liability landscape for MSPs, CSPs and MSSPs that suffer an attack or beach;
  
• Beyond the technical response, how to manage reputation, customer retention and mitigation of financial loss.
