The Adelaide chapter is holding a 2 day in-classroom Ubiquiti Enterprise Wireless Administrator certification class at a massive discount of $250ex GST (normally $850).
The course is conducted by Leader Systems, and there will be a certification exam at the end of the second day. There is a minimum of 10 people for the in-class Adelaide training.
This 2-day course covers enterprise wireless networks using Ubiquiti’s UniFi suite of products. The course covers:
- WLAN fundamentals (some essential RF, WLAN standards, networking equipment)
- WLAN planning (signals, coverage, cells, channelling, SNR, density)
- Deployment (site surveys, PoE/wiring, forecasting, spectrum analysis, benchmarking)
- Basic & Advanced Adoption & Setup (discovery/adoption, multi-site, security, VLAN’s, user groups, L3 adoption, DNS/DHCP adoption)
- Guest Networks (captive portal & hotspot, guest policies, access controls)
- High-Density WLAN Design (capacity, channel patterns, interference, AP placement)
Upon successful completion of each course (final exam is 60 minutes closed-book multiple-choice with 65% passing grade) students will receive certification from Ubiquiti Networks. Students will be provided course materials, hardware for use during practical activities and catering for the 2 days. Students are required to bring a laptop with wired network card, 3 patch leads and a pen to complete written exercises in the supplied lab book.
