StorageCraft Cloud Services – Cloud Disaster Recovery made simple, affordable and reliable.
StorageCraft are in the final stages of delivering a unified solution for physical, virtual and cloud based servers that delivers truly flexible, scalable and affordable Cloud Disaster Recovery for all our partners. This solution will enable our partners to deliver a complete solution to their customers without requiring the reseller or customer to provide any cloud infrastructure. Simply pay per month per GB (not sure of pricing yet). Simple. Easy. Affordable and most importantly – reliable recovery of your data anytime, anywhere, everytime.
Most backup product still use archaic file or block level backup technologies that make it extremely hard for data to be replicated to remote sites or to the cloud. As StorageCraft leverages 4th generation real-time recovery technology, which backs up at the sector level, only the sectors that change on this disk get replicated. Once a sector has been replicated, it does not need to be replicated ever again. As backups occur as frequently as every 15 minutes, this typically represents tiny amounts of changed sectors – which means, now you can deliver real-time cloud disaster recovery without requiring expensive / complex de-duplication appliances, WAN optimisation or other products that put additional strain on networks, costs and complexity.
At StorageCraft, we have always believed there is only one reason to backup, and that is to be able to restore. With the new (soon to be launched) StorageCraft Cloud Services offerings, we will enable our partners to deliver to their customers an end to end complete solution for backup, recovery, disaster recovery, migration and replication for protecting and (more importantly) recovering files, folders, databases locally, remotely and/or in the cloud.
