Network Troubleshooting

Tony Albans, A.A. Network Consulting Pty Ltd

Tony will cover internal and external components of PC/Network connectivity and the tools used to diagnose issues.

We will look at traffic flow from device to device, some local, some remote and analyse the physical:

Is cable plugged in?
Are the link lights on?

Followed by a look at Pockethernet and other testers.

Tony will be testing from within PC and other devices (managed switches), including timing tests with Ping and PingPlotter and a look at use of Speed test tools (Ookla, Speed.dcsi, etc).

Finally a run through some fault/complaint scenarios, picking the tools for the job and getting the required result.
