Trend Micro Small Business Technology Update against Advanced Persistent Threats 2015

Kurt Baeten, Trend Micro

  • 2015 Ransomware Landscape:

While ransomware isn’t new, many users still find themselves victimized by it without knowing how their device got infected. They could have downloaded ransomware unknowingly by visiting malicious or compromised websites, or it could have been dropped or downloaded into their systems by other malware. Paying the ransom however, does not guarantee that users will regain access to their digital assets. With ransomware becoming more common and more complex, it is important to understand how these attacks are evolving and what you can do to help mitigate the threat.
  • Trend Micro’s announced partnership with Deakin University to intercept and neutralise Australian Cryptolocker variants.

  • Newly released behaviour monitoring tool to prevent processes commonly associate with Ransomware.

  • Enterprise class virtual sandboxing technology is now available through Hosted email security solution for SMEs with exchange server or office 365

All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the 2015 version of Trend Micro Maximum Security.
