AI Operations Management for Wi-Fi Networks
Roy Wittert
Cambium Networks will be offering a door-prize draw, the forth coming SMBiT Professionals Chapter meetings where they will present. Attend and go in the draw to win a Cambium NSE 3000 next-generation firewall, complete with free cnMaestro cloud management and local support from Cambium technical experts as required.
Hear about the latest updates to our cloud-managed portfolio of AI-driven, affordable, MSP-grade networking equipment. We will present why it is a good time to consider Cambium Networks as your default vendor of SD-WAN/NG Firewall, Switching, Wi-Fi, GPON and 60GHz wireless backhaul technology. We’ll also discuss native integration with Starlink, Tailscale and Teltonika.
We’ll also outline the latest and emerging Wi-Fi standards and how our RF technology can provide fewer headaches, better performance and provide a better ROI for MSPs -particularly in high density and outdoor situations.

Fractional Leadership: Creating Better Outcomes for MSPs and Their Clients
Daniel Buckton
The presentation will explore how fractional CTO and CISO services can complement MSPs by helping clients establish clearer ownership, governance, priorities and budgets around technology and cyber risk. The fractional adviser supports the client without replacing or competing with the MSP’s technical role.
A key theme is that outsourcing technology does not transfer the client’s business risk to the MSP. Clients remain responsible for their risk decisions, while MSPs remain accountable for their agreed scope and service delivery. Independent advice can help both parties understand these responsibilities and work together more effectively.
Deidentified examples from an electrical maintenance business, a data-centre backup power manufacturer and a commercial cleaning business will demonstrate how technology governance, cyber risk and critical infrastructure supply-chain expectations increasingly affect SMBs.
Regulatory content will be brief and practical, covering CIRMP, proposed SOCI reforms affecting some MSPs and providers, and the current ransomware/cyber-extortion payment reporting obligation for businesses over $3 million annual turnover. The distinction between these requirements will also be clarified.
