What does it mean to be a MSP
Jack Alsop, Senior Disaster Recovery Planning Architect, StorageCraft
Jack will provide a progression of our IT Industry, particularly from a smaller IT company’s perspective, with the main focus being on how he was able to transition from a typical break fix and or a project based business to a provider of managed services. Why was this transition so necessary some 13-15 years ago and how did he go about the transformation? The simple necessity was based around the “Feast or Famine” conditions that existed in so many small to medium business from that time. Jack will share some of the unique ways in which he packaged services to provide a differentiator to current customers and helped gain new ones. He will discuss how you can take standard services and package them in such a way that it appears new, fresh and relevant to your customer base, delivering these services every month so that customers know what their ongoing operational costs would be and what they were getting for that investment.
